In this program we will illustrate how microgrids provide resilience against natural disasters and grid outages. Microgrids can also reduce carbon emissions while having a positive economic impact on an individual property or community. The potential for natural disasters to threaten large areas of California is significant. This webinar will provide examples of resilient microgrid, including an approximately one MW microgrid designed for riding through Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events, a microgrid for a community disaster recovery center, and microgrid systems with smart controls that provide resilience and eliminate the need for electrical service upgrades for electrification of existing single-family homes.
