Housing Los Angeles

A group of concerned architects located throughout Southern California have formed a committee to discuss how affordable housing can be executed in a more effective manner.  The committee is known as HoLA which stands for Housing Los Angeles, and has just finished its second meeting. As practitioners, the intent is to share challenges and determine effective solutions for supporting the development of affordable housing. HoLA is under the AIA Long Beach/South Bay component which supports innovation and education to address regional housing needs. The City of Los Angeles “City Homelessness Initiatives” Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti has expressed interest in meeting with HoLA to learn about opportunities to streamline the affordable housing development process.

Participating members include:
Raeven Flores – Abode Communities
Brian Lane – Koning Eizenberg Architects
Rene Rodriquez – Egan | Simon Architecture
Michael Bohn, Phill Trigas – Studio One Eleven

Stay tuned for future updates.
